TOPOGRAPHIC OBJECTS

 

The act of assimilation to place during lockdowns.

 

Interpreting landscape by using local biotite granite alongside stoneware that mimics the linework of topographic mapping. Found materials forged by the earth over the course of millennia sit alongside newly created ceramics.

 

An assemblage of unaltered "natural" 3D objects with human-made 2D sense-making (mapping) - each component holds its own embedded time and logic.

 

Time, place and dimensional play co-exist with each small sculpture.
